Job summary

RLC Electronic Systems is seeking a detailed Purchasing Agent to join our electronics manufacturing team in Bengaluru South. You will manage procurement, optimize inventory, and ensure timely material acquisition for production.

The role emphasizes SAP ERP, Excel, and SQL-based analysis to drive cost savings and cross-functional collaboration. The position is part-time (20–30 hours/week) with a flexible schedule, offering exposure to lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement/purchasing within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of demand planning, production planning, logistics inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets using Excel and SQL for decision-making.
• Experience implementing or supporting enterprise solutions within a manufacturing or supply chain context.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes utilizing SAP ERP to ensure timely sourcing of materials and services.
• Collaborate with production planning, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to align purchasing with demand forecasts and inventory requirements.
• Conduct data analysis using Excel and SQL to monitor supplier performance, analyze procurement trends, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Coordinate logistics and inventory management to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize excess stock.
• Lead supply chain planning by integrating demand forecasting with procurement strategies to support manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain supplier relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and performance evaluation.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on lean manufacturing, process automation, and operational excellence.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to develop strategies that enhance overall supply chain management and plant operations.
