Job summary

Selective Global Search is seeking a professional to lead development across sheet metal, plastics and electrical components for new projects. You will drive supplier coordination, ensure timely launches, and manage cost and quality targets throughout the program.

The role requires strong quality acumen, vendor development experience, and proficiency with SAP, Power BI and ERP tools. You will collaborate with QA and procurement teams to optimize processes and ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Development- end-to-end for sheet metal, plastics and electrical.
• Sourcing- ensure timely launches and compliance with cost/quality.
• Quality Management- enforce quality standards with supplier/plant QA.
• Vendor selection and upgradation with engagements with QA teams.
• Process improvements and stakeholder management to follow SOPs.
• Project control to drive launches and set targets.
• Data management including BoM updates and supplier status.
• Costing support for should-cost models in relevant categories.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Development- Managing end to end development of all components(mainly Sheet Metal,Plastics & Electrical) for all new projects while developing a win-win relation for customer requirements and supplier needs.

Sourcing-Ensure timely launch of new projects and ensuring all compliance items are met with a cost and quality sensitive approach. Support for Vendor development- domestic and overseas.

Quality Management-Must have a strong quality acumen and enforce quality standards. Will be working closely with Supplier Quality and Plant quality.

Vendor Selection & upgradation-To ensure qualified suppliers are selected for the development & and work closely with Quality teams to uplift existing vendors capability.

Process Improvements-To monitor and improve the utilization of set controls and have excellent stakeholder management to ensure internal processes are followed while balancing the project time-lines.

Project Control-To control the overall project launches for SCM function and drive team to set targets.

Data Management- Ensure data accuracy for each phase and gate for the project including but not limited to BoM updates, supplier approval status and cost of each material.

Price Management- Should be able to support should cost models for Sheet Metal,Plastic & Electrical categories

Compliance to the statutory audit requirements - Adherence to SOP and compliance requirement per customer and market needs.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification

Essential: B.E./B.Tech. or Diploma with specialization in Mechanical / Electrical / from State/Govt. recognized University

Preferred: Post Graduation in Materials Management from recognized institute relevant to the function

Work Experience Required (In yrs.)

Total: 2 to 8 yrs
