Job summary

DMart in Mumbai seeks a procurement professional to negotiate with vendors, prepare schedules, and ensure stock availability and optimal shelf space through coordination with warehouses and operations.

The role involves setting selling prices, fostering strong vendor relationships, and supporting in-store promos while maintaining compliance with process audits.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with vendors regarding best schemes, offers, discounts and place orders.
• Prepare the vendor schedule.
• Analyze reports of top selling, slow moving, zero sale SKUs and place purchase orders to ensure stock availability and optimal space utilization.
• Coordinate with vendors and warehouse to ensure debit items are collected within timelines.
• Conduct floor walks with operations to ensure availability, visibility, timely refilling, proper display and correct price boards.
• Decide the selling price.
• Develop relationships with vendors to get excellent services and timely information.
• Negotiate for placement of promoters, review their daily availability and provide instruction to ensure smooth store functioning.
• Participate in weekly promoter briefings and coordinate with company officials regarding customer complaints and follow-up for timely resolution.
• Conduct competitions benchmarking with stores in vicinity to improve pricing, product display and range; coordinate with HO for OL, OQ.
• Identify and follow-up on PNM to ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Share information with operations to control pilferage (stock in systems vs. stock on floor/warehouse).
• Prepare vendor schedule and plan dispatches to enable smooth stock take.
• Maintain registers to ensure compliance with process audit.

• Coordinate with the vendors and warehouse to ensure debit items are collected within timelines specified.
• Conduct floor walk with operations to ensure availability, visibility, timely refilling, proper display & correct price boards. Interact with staff to share information and enable execution.
• Decide the selling price.
• Develop relationships with the vendors to get excellent services & timely information.
• Negotiate for placement of promoters, review their daily availability & provide instruction to ensure smooth functioning of the store.
