Job summary

DMart in Hyderabad seeks a proactive vendor relations professional to manage supplier schedules, negotiate schemes, offers and discounts, and place orders. You will build strong vendor relationships, ensure timely information, and coordinate promoter placements to optimize store execution.

The role involves analyzing stock performance, ensuring shelf visibility, and coordinating with operations to maintain displays and price accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vendor schedules and negotiate with vendors on schemes, offers, discounts, and debits; place orders.
• Develop relationships with vendors to ensure excellent service, timely information, and alignment on promotions and promoter placements.
• Analyze reports on top selling, slow moving, and zero sale SKUs; place purchases to ensure stock availability and space utilization.
• Conduct floor walks with operations to ensure availability, visibility, timely refilling, proper displays and accurate price boards.
• Interact with staff to share information and enable execution.
• Participate in weekly promoter briefings; coordinate with company officials to address customer complaints and follow up for resolution.
• Benchmark pricing and displays by conducting competitions with nearby stores weekly to improve pricing, product display, and range.
• Coordinate with HO to decide OL, OQ.
• Identify and follow up on PNM to ensure timely vendor payments.
• Share information with operations to control pilferage and prepare vendor schedules and dispatch plans for stock takes.
• Maintain registers to ensure compliance with process audits.

Role & responsibilities

Would be responsible for preparing the vendor schedules & negotiate with vendors regarding schemes, offers, discounts, debits and place orders.

• Develop relationship with vendors to get excellent services & timely information. Negotiate for placement of promoters, review their daily availability & provide instruction to ensure smooth functioning of store.
• Analyze and study report of Top selling, slow moving, zero sale SKU's and placing purchase orders to ensure stock availability and optimum utilization of space.
• Conduct floor walk with operations to ensure availability, visibility, timely refilling, proper display & correct price boards.
• Interact with staff to share information and enable execution.
• Participate in weekly promoter briefing. Coordinate with company officials regarding customer complaints and follow up for timely resolution.
• Conduct competitions benchmarking with stores in vicinity at least once a week to improve on pricing, product display, product range.
• Coordinate with HO for deciding OL, OQ.
• Identify & follow up on PNM to ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Share information with operations to control pilferage (stock in systems vs stock on floor/ warehouse). Prepare vendor schedule and plan dispatches to enable smooth stock take.
• Maintain registers to ensure compliance with process audit.
