Job summary

DMart in Karimnagar, Telangana, India is seeking a vendor relations and procurement executive to manage vendor schedules, negotiate schemes, offers and discounts, and place purchase orders to ensure stock availability.

The role involves building strong vendor partnerships for timely information and promoter placement, analysing top selling and slow-moving SKUs, coordinating with operations on displays, pricing, and timely payments.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG GT market and vendor negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vendor schedules and negotiate schemes, offers, discounts, debits and place orders.
• Develop relationships with vendors for timely information and promoter placement.
• Analyse SKU performance and place orders to ensure stock and space utilisation.
• Conduct floor walks with operations for availability and proper displays and price boards.
• Coordinate with HO for decisions on OL/OQ and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Share information with operations to control pilferage and plan dispatches.
• Maintain registers to ensure process audit compliance.

Industry:

Only FMCG - preferably GT market experience

• Would be responsible for preparing the vendor schedules & Negotiate with vendors regarding schemes, offers, discounts, debits and place orders.
• Develop relationship with vendors to get excellent services & timely information. Negotiate for placement of promoters, review their daily availability & provide instruction to ensure smooth functioning of store.
• Analyse and study report of Top selling, slow moving, zero sale SKU's and placing purchase orders to ensure stock availability and optimum utilisation of space.
• Conduct floor walk with operations to ensure availability, visibility, timely refilling, proper display & correct price boards.
• Interact with staff to share information and enable execution.
• Participate in weekly promoter briefing. Coordinate with company officials regarding customer complaints and followup for timely resolution.

Job Description:

• Conduct competitions benchmarking with stores in vicinity atleast once a week to improve on pricing, product display, product range.
• Coordinate with HO for deciding OL, OQ.
• Identify & followup on PNM to ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Share information with operations to control pilferage (stock in systems vs stock on floor/ warehouse). Prepare vendor schedule and plan dispatches to enable smooth stock take.
• Maintain registers to ensure compliance with process audit.
• Has good product knowledge and flair for negotiation Skills.
• Should be good at Listening, Written Communication
• Has good computer skills & should be sincere & hardworking
• Should be good at planning, Exhibits analytical skills.
