Job summary

MERCURE is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement Leader to manage the hotel’s overall purchasing operations in line with Accor standards and procedures. You will source quality products, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and coordinate with Finance and various departments to ensure timely delivery and cost savings.

With 5-7 years in branded hotels and strong leadership, you will mentor a procurement team and contribute to CSR/ESG initiatives while growing within the brand across properties.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in hotel management or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in branded hotels and at least 1 year in a similar role.
• Strong leadership with team management and mentoring capabilities.

Job Description

Manage the hotel's overall purchasing and procurement operations in accordance with Accor standards, policies, and procedures.

Source quality products and services at competitive prices while maintaining the required quality standards.

Identify, evaluate, and develop approved suppliers and maintain effective vendor relationships.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.

Review purchase requisitions, obtain necessary approvals, and process purchase orders as per established procedures.

Conduct market surveys and obtain competitive quotations to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

Coordinate with the Finance, Cost Control, Stores, Receiving, Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering departments to meet operational requirements.

Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support the smooth functioning of hotel operations.

Monitor purchasing expenditure, control costs, and identify opportunities for savings without compromising quality.

Maintain accurate records of quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, supplier contracts, and other procurement documents.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or any other equivalent qualifications
• 5-7 year of experience in branded hotels and minimum 1 year experience in similar role.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and mentoring.
