Job summary

Yokogawa Electric Corporation in Bangalore is seeking a Purchase Manager to lead sourcing and procurement of field instruments and testing equipment, coordinate requirements with user teams, and drive vendor evaluation and compliance processes.

The role includes negotiations, vendor registration, post-PO activities, and the development of annual rate agreements, ensuring quality, health, safety and environment standards across procurement activities.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & procurement of Buyout products related to field instruments and testing & measurement instruments such as transmitters, flowmeters, controllers, recorders, test benches and related equipment.
• Coordinate with user teams to understand requirements before negotiation.
• Conduct commercial negotiations and finalize vendors.
• Vendor evaluation and registration; manage PA/PO processes and post-PO activities including document approvals, inspection, dispatch clearance, GR and payments.
• Prepare annual rate agreements and conduct annual vendor performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE processes; modify quality and HSE procedures as required; maintain QHSE data and publish monthly in QHSE portal; issue and close CARs with RCA; coordinate internal and external audits; promote PCM and PLRS compliance during procurement.
