UnitekSteel Structure Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Purchase Manager / Procurement Engineer with 3–5 years in PEB, structural steel fabrication, or industrial construction.

You will manage end-to-end procurement, vendor development, cost negotiation, and material planning for manufacturing operations and project sites. You will coordinate with design, production, project managers, site engineers, and stores to ensure timely material availability and drive cost savings while maintaining quality

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in PEB, steel fabrication, or industrial construction.
• Good knowledge of steel materials, fabrication consumables, construction materials, and site procurement.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, purchase documentation, and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, urgent site requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Good communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of structural steel, MS plates, HR coils, pipes, and other fabrication materials.
• Handle project-wise and site-wise purchasing for civil construction and site requirements.
• Coordinate with design, production, project managers, site engineers, and stores for material availability.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules to save costs.
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, issue purchase orders, and monitor orders.
• Track material deliveries and coordinate with suppliers for timely supply.
• Monitor material consumption, inventory, wastage, and procurement costs against budgets.
• Ensure uninterrupted material availability for workshop production and site execution.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, purchase orders, and procurement MIS.
• Coordinate with accounts for supplier invoices, payment follow-ups, and reconciliation.
• Ensure materials comply with approved technical specifications and quality requirements.

The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, vendor development, cost negotiation, material planning, and timely delivery of materials for manufacturing operations and project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of MS plates, HR coils, structural steel, pipes, tubes, purlins, bracing, fasteners, welding consumables, paints, roofing and cladding materials, and other fabrication materials.
• Handle project-wise and site-wise purchasing for civil construction, erection, installation, and other site requirements.
• Coordinate with design, production, project managers, site engineers, and stores to ensure timely material availability.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.

Candidates currently working with PEB manufacturers, structural steel fabrication companies, industrial construction companies, or engineering project organisations will be preferred.
