Job summary

Amber Enterprises India is seeking a procurement professional to manage sourcing of direct and indirect materials for its Chennai operations. You will coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, and Stores to prevent shortages and drive cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities include supplier negotiations, contract finalization, annual cost reduction, and monitoring KPIs to support continuous improvements while ensuring compliance with policies and audits.

• Manage procurement of direct and indirect materials, consumables, components, and services required for plant operations.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, cost competitiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation, contract finalization, and annual cost reduction initiatives.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, and Stores teams to prevent material shortages.
• Execute RFQs, comparative analysis, purchase orders, and vendor performance evaluations.
• Drive localization, alternate sourcing, and value engineering projects to optimize procurement costs.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, audit requirements, and statutory compliance.
• Analyze procurement KPIs, prepare MIS reports, and present sourcing strategies to management.
