Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Lead – Procurement – Site to manage procurement activities at the project site, aligning with planning and execution teams to ensure uninterrupted construction progress.

You will engage with local vendors, negotiate rates, issue orders, and monitor delivery against schedules and BOQs. Proficiency in SAP and ERP systems is preferred to streamline requisitions and documentation.

Job description

Lead – Procurement – Site is responsible for managing all procurement activities at the project site level. This includes coordination with planning and execution teams, engaging with local and regional vendors, negotiating rates, issuing purchase/work orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services required for uninterrupted construction progress. The role ensures adherence to procurement policies, cost control, and vendor performance management at the site. Collaborate with site planning and execution teams to forecast material and service requirements based on construction schedules and BOQs. ?

Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with local and regional vendors for supply of project-specific materials, consumables, plant & machinery, and hired services. ?

Float enquiries and obtain quotations for site-level procurement; prepare comparative statements and lead negotiations to ensure best value within approved budgets. ? Ensure procurement decisions align with technical specifications, delivery timelines, approved vendor lists, and comply with internal procurement policies. ?

Generate purchase orders and work orders in the ERP system (e.g., SAP) and follow up for timely order acknowledgment, dispatch, and documentation.
