Job summary

Vadilal Ice Creams in Ahmedabad seeks a dynamic procurement professional to oversee domestics/export packaging purchasing and artwork processes.

You will plan demand, monitor stock levels, track costs, and coordinate with Production, QA, R&D, Marketing and Stores to support packaging planning, approvals, and new product launches.

The role requires strong Excel skills for cost analysis and a proactive mindset to forecast needs and optimize procurement costs.

• Strong knowledge of packaging materials used in ice cream industry.
• Advanced Excel skills for pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestics/export packaging material purchasing and artwork processes.
• Plan and forecast demand; monitor stock levels per plant and procurement needs.
• Monitor costing and RM rates daily to control costs.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, R&D, Marketing and Stores for packaging planning, artwork approvals and new product launches.
• Monitor packaging material inventory, consumption, reorder levels, lead times; analyze market trends and prices of plastics, paper, polymers, foil, inks and adhesives to control costs.

Required Technical / Functional Skills & Competencies:

• Packaging Material Knowledge: Strong understanding of packaging materials used in ice cream industry, with Packaging specifications of Item & Specification Deep Knowledge Domestics/Export packaging items like Plastic Packaing , Corrugated, Monocartoon, BOPP & other Packaing like Ceramic Items , Costing knowledge of paper, polymer, and prin ng components, Monitoring raw material market trends, Planning & Forcas ng Demand
• Strong Excel skills:Pivot tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Cost analysis sheets
• Young, smart, and energe c professional with a go-ge er a tude.
• Excellent documenta on, coordina on, and follow-up skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Looking after all Domestics/Export PM Purchasing process, Artwork process,
• Advance Planning & Demand Forcasting , monitoring stock of material as per plant and purchasing requirment ,
• Deep Knowledge of Costing & day to day RM rate monitering,
• Coordinate with Production, PPC, QA, R&D, Marketing, and Stores departments for packaging planning, artwork approvals, new product launches, and material development activities.
• Monitor packaging material inventory levels, consumption patterns, reorder levels, and lead times to ensure optimum stock availability. Analyze market trends and price fluctuations of raw materials such as Plastic: PP, HIP, LD, Paper FBB, kraft paper, polymers, aluminium foil, inks, and adhesives to control procurement costs.
