Job summary

Imperial Auto Industries in India is seeking a Costing & Estimation professional focused on forging and casting parts. You will analyze drawings for manufacturability, perform weight calculations, zero-based costing, MHR, cycle times, and prepare cost estimates.

You will negotiate with suppliers, develop new vendors, coordinate with R&D, implement value engineering, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, ISO/TS norms, and maintain MIS records.

Responsibilities

• Technical Study of Drawing for manufacturability with respect to specifications and GD&T, Forging & casting Weight Calculation, Finish Weight Calculation, Zero based costing, Prod Costing, MHR calculation, Cycle time, etc.
• Getting quotation and negotiating for the best possible rates for materials Quotation comparison, negotiation, terms & conditions finalization.
• Responsible for Implementation of Value engineering ideas released by R&D.
• Must have knowledge of all manufacturing process of forging & casting
• New vendor development & Feasibility of Drawings with Vendor & CFT.
• Knowledge of ERP / SAP system.
• Co-ordinate with Inter department for all activities for smooth workflow.
• Follow-up with supplier for NPD parts
• Maintaining MIS and maintain the records as per system Requirement.
• Knowledge of processes like PPAP, FMEA, APQP, ISO & TS norms etc.
• Responsible for New product development such as Forging / Casting.
