Job summary

Siddhalaxmi Engineering Industries in Pimpri-Chinchwad is seeking a dedicated professional to manage RFQs, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate with vendors and customers. The role supports NPD activities and ensures accurate documentation and reporting.

The candidate should have a BE in Mechanical Engineering with 1–4 years of experience, reading drawings, MS Excel proficiency, and good communication skills. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• 1-4 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering industries.
• Experience in cost estimation, costing, quotation preparation or RFQ handling will be preferred.
• Basic knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel.
• Understanding of IATF 16949 documentation and QOS will be an added advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good negotiation, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Should be detail-oriented, proactive and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• RFQ & Enquiry Management: Handle customer enquiries and RFQs; review requirements; coordinate with internal departments.
• Cost Estimation & Quotation: Prepare cost estimates; calculate material, machining, processing costs; prepare and submit quotations; follow up and maintain records.
• Vendor & Customer Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for pricing and delivery; communicate enquiries, quotations, and order status; support price negotiations.
• Contract Review & Order Acceptance: Review purchase orders against quotations; check requirements; coordinate with internal departments for order processing.
• New Product Development (NPD) Support: Support NPD during enquiries and development; coordinate costing, drawings and customer requirements; follow up on progress.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain RFQ/quotation records; support IATF 16949 documentation and QOS activities; prepare reports and data in MS Excel.

Roles & Responsibilities

RFQ & Enquiry Management

• Handle customer enquiries and Request for Quotations (RFQs).
• Review customer requirements, technical specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate with internal departments for technical and commercial inputs.

Cost Estimation & Quotation

• Prepare cost estimates for machining and engineering components.
• Calculate material, machining, processing and other related costs.
• Prepare and submit quotations to customers within the given timelines.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and maintain quotation records.

Vendor & Customer Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors for pricing, quotations and delivery details.
• Communicate with customers regarding enquiries, quotations and order status.
• Support price negotiations with vendors and customers.

Contract Review & Order Acceptance

• Review customer purchase orders against submitted quotations.
• Check technical and commercial requirements before order acceptance.
• Coordinate with internal departments for order processing and execution.

New Product Development (NPD) Support

• Support the NPD team during new product enquiries and development activities.
• Coordinate for costing, drawings and customer requirements.
• Follow up on development progress and customer feedback.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain RFQ, quotation and customer follow-up records.
• Support basic IATF 16949 documentation and QOS-related activities.
• Prepare reports and maintain data using MS Excel.
