Job summary

Garware Technical Fibres is seeking a procurement professional to manage indirect purchasing, packaging materials, and MRO items for our manufacturing operations. You will source supplier quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery to support production schedules.

Responsibilities include preparing PRs/POs, maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring inventory, and ensuring policy compliance. SAP MM experience is preferred for efficient MM module usage.

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of Indirect Purchase Items and factory consumables.
• Source and purchase Packaging Materials, including Corrugated Boxes.
• Procure Bearings, Belts, Electrical Items, and other MRO materials.
• Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and perform comparative analysis.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production disruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and user departments.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Track order status and follow up for timely deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of SAP - MM module.
