Job summary

BDG Metal & Power is seeking a Sr. Purchase Executive to manage routine procurement and ensure uninterrupted material supply. You will coordinate with internal teams, place orders with approved vendors, and maintain ERP records.

You will also assist with vendor sourcing, quotations, and negotiations, while ensuring timely deliveries and accurate documentation for audits and payments.

Qualifications

• 25 years of experience in purchase/procurement.
• Experience in manufacturing / steel / EPC / trading industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle routine procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted availability of materials and services.
• Coordinate with stores, logistics, and accounts to verify receipt of materials and processing of supplier payments.
• Collect quotations, prepare comparative statements, and assist seniors in finalizing purchase decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all purchase transactions in the ERP system.
• Support cost control initiatives, procurement reporting, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• The Sr.Purchase Executive is responsible for handling the organizations routine procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted availability of materials and services. The role involves coordinating with internal departments to understand purchase requirements and placing purchase orders with approved vendors in a timely manner.
• The Purchase Executive supports vendor sourcing and negotiation activities by collecting quotations, preparing comparative statements, and assisting seniors in finalizing purchase decisions. Regular follow-up with suppliers is required to ensure order confirmation, adherence to delivery schedules, and resolution of supply-related issues.
• The role also includes maintaining accurate and complete documentation for all purchase transactions, including purchase orders, contracts, delivery records, and invoices. All procurement-related data must be updated correctly in the ERP system to ensure transparency, traceability, and audit readiness.
• The Purchase Executive coordinates with stores, logistics, and accounts teams to ensure proper receipt of materials, verification of invoices, and timely processing of supplier payments. The position supports cost control initiatives, procurement reporting, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Throughout all activities, the Purchase Executive is expected to maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism while contributing to efficient procurement operations and continuous process improvement.
