Job summary

Maini Precision Products in Bengaluru, Karnataka seeks an experienced Procurement specialist to manage purchasing and import operations for raw materials, steels, castings, rubber components and consumables. You will plan material requirements, prepare POs in SAP, and monitor supplier performance to avoid line stoppages.

2–5 years in import operations within manufacturing/engineering sectors, SAP MM expertise, and advanced Excel skills are required. BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on import operations experience in manufacturing, engineering or automobile sectors.
• SAP MM experience for PO creation, scheduling agreements, and inventory tracking; advanced MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing and sourcing for raw materials (steels, castings, rubber, consumables).
• Material planning for domestic operations and on-time release of schedule/orders to vendors.
• Prepare POs for domestic vendors in SAP; monitor POs and coordinate with Finance for payments.
• Maintain stock levels at in-house and supplier ends to avoid line shortages.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet customer SOPs and forecast plans for next 3 months.
• Release distribution of POs and schedules to suppliers and monitor inward/outward for all parts.

ExperienceRole & responsibilities

• 1. Purchasing and Sourcing for Raw material - Steels, Castings components, Rubber components, & Consumables etc,.
• 2. Material planning for domestic and releasing the Schedule/Orders vendor on-time after considering the inventory, supplier manufacturing lead-time and transit lead-time & safety stock etc,
• 3. Preparation of Purchase formats, purchase documents, Purchase Order for domestics vendors with SAP.
• 4. PO preparation, PO Monitoring, payment request to Finance for Advance payment Regular payment follow-up & supplier bills reconciliation with Accounts etc.,
• 5. Maintaining the necessary stocks of Raw materials at our In-house & supplier end based on monthly requirement & ensure avoiding line critical at customer end, supplier end and our in-house production.
• 6. Co-ordinate with Cross Functional Team (CFT) to meet the customer SOP for New products & daily requirements.
• 7. Timely releasing the Purchase order and Schedule to supplier with forecast plan for next 3months and monitoring the coverage days for production. Daily monitoring the inward & outward for all parts.
• 8. Independently handling Suppliers issues, if any critical supplier or critical parts highlighted to Management to avoid line critical at our end & customer end.
• 9. Procuring all materials purchasing as per production plan, minimum, maximum stock levels and as per the company Inventory
• 10. Preparation of Weekly, Monthly & Yearly MIS.

Preferred candidate profile

Education Qulification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in import operations, preferably within the manufacturing, engineering, or automobile sector. ERP Skills: SAP MM (Material Management) module for PO creation, scheduling agreements, and inventory tracking and advanced MS Excel.
