Job summary

Indo- Mim in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh is seeking an experienced Purchase Engineer to manage procurement for Aerospace Vacuum Investment Casting operations. The role requires strong technical knowledge of materials, vendor management, and international procurement to ensure timely supply.

You will interpret engineering drawings, float RFQs, negotiate terms, and coordinate with engineering and quality teams to maintain high standards. A 2–6+ year background in aerospace procurement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–6+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of engineering materials and procurement processes.
• Experience with import procurement and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Understand engineering drawings and technical specifications from user departments.
• Float enquiries to suitable suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate terms.
• Process purchase requisitions and release purchase orders.
• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with vendors.
• Track status of ordered items including imported materials.
• Coordinate with engineering and quality teams for material approvals.
• Develop and maintain reliable supplier relationships.
• Ensure procurement procedures and quality standards are followed.
• Assess vendor capabilities and monitor supplier performance.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities for Aerospace Vacuum Investment Casting operations. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of engineering materials, vendor management, import procurement, and purchase processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand engineering drawings and technical specifications received from user departments.
• Float enquiries to suitable suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
• Process purchase requisitions and release purchase orders.
• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with vendors for timely material supply.
• Track daily status of ordered items, including imported materials.
• Coordinate with engineering and quality teams for material approvals.
• Develop and maintain reliable supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and quality standards.
• Assess vendor capabilities and monitor supplier performance.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of engineering procurement and purchase procedures.
• Experience in handling procurement for Aerospace / Vacuum Investment Casting industries.
• Good understanding of raw materials such as Inconel, Super Alloys, Heat Treatment processes, Special Processes, Fixtures, Gauges, Spares, and Consumables.
• Knowledge of import purchasing and international procurement processes.
• Exposure to ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NABL, and NADCAP.
• Ability to independently handle end-to-end procurement activities.
