Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7-8 years of procurement experience in manufacturing or project-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, fabrication and machining tolerances, and processes like laser cutting, forming, bending, welding; familiar with fasteners, bearings, motors, gearboxes.
• Experience in vendor development, supplier negotiations, ERP systems, procurement reporting, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Experience with stainless steel fabrication sourcing; international sourcing is an advantage.

In this position, you will work closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and project teams to plan purchases, optimize supplier performance, and drive cost-effective sourcing decisions. Responsibilities:

• You will plan and execute the timely purchase of materials, equipment, components, and services by partnering with production, engineering, and project teams to support production plans and project schedules.
• You will prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and conduct techno-commercial assessments to secure the best combination of quality, cost, and delivery.
• You will build strong supplier relationships, identify and develop new vendors, negotiate commercial terms, and support long-term sourcing strategies.
• You will analyze procurement and supplier performance against key indicators, prepare reports for management, and recommend improvements to purchasing effectiveness.
• You will ensure compliance with procurement processes, maintain accurate purchasing documentation, and coordinate with quality, finance, stores, and project stakeholders to resolve technical and commercial issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7-8 years of experience in procurement within manufacturing or project-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, fabrication and machining tolerances, manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, forming, bending, and welding, and engineering components including fasteners, bearings, motors, and gearboxes.
