Job summary

Topband is seeking a Procurement Engineer in Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra. The role focuses on supplier management, procurement operations, cost optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted material supply for production.

You will manage RFQ processes, negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost-saving initiatives while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and quality standards. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement/supply chain is required.
• BE/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFQ, supplier negotiations, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives in line with KPIs and targets.
• Ensure timely material follow-up and supply continuity for production requirements.
• Coordinate with PPC for daily shortage monitoring and material expediting.
• Procure Electro-Mechanical/Mechanical components and parts; coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Support internal and customer audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Monitor and update procurement KPIs and maintain inventory targets.
• Conduct local supplier visits to resolve shortage and supply-related issues.

Your Role

As an Engineer Procurement, you will be responsible for supplier management, procurement operations, cost optimization, inventory control, and ensuring uninterrupted material supply for production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage RFQ, supplier negotiations, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives in line with KPIs and management targets.
• Ensure timely material follow-up and supply continuity for production requirements.
• Coordinate with PPC for daily shortage monitoring and material expediting.
• Handle procurement of Electro-Mechanical / Mechanical components and parts.
• Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support Internal Audits and Customer Audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Monitor and update Procurement KPIs and maintain inventory targets.
• Conduct local supplier visits to resolve shortage and supply-related issues.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and support continuous improvement initiatives.
