DATAMARK, IN is seeking Punjabi language interpreters to support client communications with accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and clear bilingual rendering across calls and messages.

Responsibilities include rendering concepts between Punjabi and English, maintaining grammar and tone, and staying calm in challenging conversations. The job offers full-time hours with rotational shifts (including night), 5 days a week, and benefits such as Mediclaim and overtime pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Native fluency in English and Punjabi.
• Advanced skills in cultural dynamics and idiomatic expressions.

Responsibilities

• Render accurate concepts and meanings between Punjabi and English, preserving grammar and syntax.
• Provide precise renditions of messages including every detail of the conversation.
• Demonstrate strong customer service with clear enunciation and professional tone.
• Follow client instructions, manage call flow, and avoid interrupting the speaker without permission.
• Remain calm during challenging conversations and emergencies.
• Be punctual and available during scheduled work hours.
• Ensure internet access for work-related communications.
• All other duties as assigned.

2. Native Fluency in English and Language

• Advanced skills in the cultural dynamics (cultural implication and idiomatic expression) of language
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and remain neutral and objective at all times
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client

Responsibilities

Renders correct concepts and meanings between language and English following complexity, clarity, tone and style from one language into another, upholding the correct rules for grammar and syntax in both languages.

Provide strict renditions of the messages including every detail of the conversation and is prepared for challenging calls at any time.

Employs good customer service and communication skills, clear enunciation, pronunciation, pleasant and professional voice as well as polite forms of expression.

Follows instructions for clients, manages the flow of the call and avoids taking over the call, as well as avoids interaction with the limited English speaker person without the client's permission.

Remains calm during calls in the event that one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations.

Remains punctual and available during scheduled work hours.

Ensures access to the internet for work related electronic communication.

All other duties as assigned.

Applicants should be comfortable with Rotational Shifts (Including night)
