Job summary

Aver Solutions seeks a qualified engineer for pre-bid automation work in the Oil & Gas, water, and infrastructure sectors. You will analyze tender specs, design systems, and prepare technical write-ups to meet customer requirements.

The role involves estimating costs, building proposals, and coordinating with Sales to clarify technical questions during bid processes. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics/ E&C / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 3–10 years' pre-bid automation engineering experience in Automation for Oil & Gas, Water, Utility and Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of PLC/ESD/F&G/RTU/SCADA and process control systems.
• Experience with Siemens/Schneider/Rockwell hardware advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Study tender specifications and prepare system designs meeting requirements.
• Develop technical write-ups and data sheets for customer specs.
• Provide cost effective automation solutions and proposals.
• Support meetings with Sales and respond to technical clarifications.
• Prepare cost estimations and commercial proposals; review with Proposal Team.

Degree in Electronics/ E&C / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Minimum 3-10 years of working experience in pre-bid engineering of Automation for Oil & Gas, Water, Utility and Infrastructure segment mostly involving:

• Process Control System, PLC, ESD, F&G, RTU, SCADA.
• Knowledge / Experience in following would be an added advantage:
• IT Hardware and Networking related to Automation System
• Instrumentation
• Makes: Siemens / Schneider/ Rockwell

Skills

• Studying tender specifications
• Drawing configuration and estimating hardware and software requirements meeting tender specifications.
• Review Customers specification and identify scope of supply and qualify exceptions/compliance.
• Develop & prepare system design, technical write up & data sheets to meet the customer specifications and applicable standards.
• Provide cost effective and accurate solution for the industries served.
• Support technical meetings with Sales. Responding to technical clarifications and attending meetings with customers if required for clarifications purpose.
• Develop specification for bought out items and obtain competitive quotes.
• Prepare cost estimation & commercial proposal and review with Proposal & Sales Manager.
• Prepare complete proposal and review with Proposal Manager and Sales team involved.
• Excellent communication skills and Command over English both written and Oral
• Creative ways to optimize hardware and software solution
• Resourceful to get vendor offers in time by building rapport with vendors
• Meeting deadlines as per customer requirements
• Studying competition offerings and defending proposal rightfully.
• Making presentations during bid approval meetings.
