Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Fresher with formal training or internship in proposals or process design.
• Strong knowledge of P&ID reading and process flow understanding.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD/ design tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Description Proposal Engineer

Position: Proposal Engineer
Location: Thane
Experience: Fresher
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical / Process Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer enquiries, specifications, P&IDs, and URS documents.
• Prepare detailed techno-commercial offers including system design, scope of supply, exclusions, and terms & conditions.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for technical inputs and cost estimation.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and identify bought-out items (valves, pumps, instruments, etc.).
• Optimize designs and costing to ensure competitive pricing without compromising quality.
• Communicate with vendors for quotations and validate technical compliance.
• Support the sales team in technical discussions and presentations with clients.
• Maintain proposal records, revisions, and ensure timely submission of offers.
• Assist in handover of awarded projects to the project execution team.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of P&ID reading and process flow understanding.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of AutoCAD / design tools is an advantage.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Analytical approach with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
