Job summary

Ace Technologies in Mumbai is seeking a Senior Proposal Engineer for Water & F&B Process Solutions to lead technical and engineering aspects of proposals for water treatment projects.

You will review tender documents, develop process schemes, prepare techno-commercial proposals, size equipment, estimate costs, and coordinate with sales, manufacturing, and clients through the sales cycle. Strong knowledge of RO, UF, DM, MGF, ACF, UV is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or an Advanced Diploma in Water Quality Management.
• 58 years of experience in proposal preparation for Water Treatment Plants.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with RO, UF, DM, MGF, ACF, and UV systems.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, BOQs, cost estimates, OPEX, hydraulics, line sizing, and valve sizing.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD; SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
• Develop optimal water treatment process schemes based on project requirements.
• Prepare Mass Balance and equipment parameters.
• Design and develop systems involving MGF, ACF, RO, UF, DM, and UV; perform projections and system design.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, BOQs, cost estimates, OPEX calculations, hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and valve sizing.
• Coordinate with suppliers for components and obtain technical and commercial information.
• Prepare offers and quotations using SAP; submit proposals within timelines.
• Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Projects, Service, Marketing, suppliers, and clients throughout the sales cycle.

About the Role

Ace Technologies is looking for a Senior Proposal Engineer Water & F&B Process Solutions to manage the technical and engineering aspects of proposals for water treatment projects. The role involves reviewing tender documents and customer requirements, developing suitable water treatment process schemes, preparing techno-commercial proposals, carrying out equipment sizing and cost estimation, and coordinating with sales, manufacturing, projects, service, suppliers, and clients throughout the sales cycle. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in water treatment proposal engineering , with knowledge of RO, UF, DM, MGF, ACF, UV systems, process documentation, cost estimation, and techno-commercial offer preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
• Develop optimal water treatment process schemes based on project requirements.
• Prepare Mass Balance and equipment parameters.
• Design and develop systems involving: MGF ACF RO UF DM Plant UV Perform RO/UF membrane projections and system design using relevant software.
• Prepare OPEX calculations, equipment layouts, and technical specifications.
• Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals, including: PFDs P&IDs BOQs Deviation Lists Cost Estimation Sheets OPEX Calculations Line Sizing Hydraulic Calculations Valve Sizing.
• Coordinate with suppliers for bought-out components and obtain relevant technical and commercial information.
• Prepare offers and quotations using SAP.
• Prepare and submit proposals within defined timelines.
• Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Projects, Service, Marketing, suppliers, and clients throughout the sales cycle.
• Communicate with clients regarding technical requirements, payments, dispatches, and other project-related matters.
• Support the sales team with technical clarifications and proposal-related information.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical and commercial submissions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering , or an Advanced Diploma in Water Quality Management.
• 58 years of experience in proposal preparation for Water Treatment Plants.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with RO, UF, DM, MGF, ACF, and UV systems.
• Experience in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, BOQs, cost estimates, OPEX calculations, hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and valve sizing.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
