Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA in Bengaluru seeks a Technical Lead - Process Engineer to lead execution stage for water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate with multiple functions to deliver high-quality process deliverables such as PFD, P&ID, and process design descriptions.

The role requires 9–13 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering, and strong collaboration skills to ensure timely project milestones.

Qualifications

• Ensure correctness of P&ID and incorporate sold requirements to customers on the P&IDs w.r.t proposal engineering.
• Verify project specifications including tagging requirements and cross-check process projections.
• Develop hydraulic flow diagrams and perform sanity checks independently.
• Optimize process sizing at unit level (including equipment).
• Participate in HAZOP reviews with customers and address queries at nodal level.
• Understand application engineering of Veolia/Suez products and technologies.

Job Summary

This role is for Technical Lead - Process engineer role during execution stage for simple or large /complex Water and Waste water treatment projects. This role does not have team members reporting directly but may need to have good influencing skills team working and communication skills to coordinate with various functions and ensure timely submission of quality process engineering deliverables in water treatment like PFD, P&ID, process design description/summary document etc.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Ensure correctness of P&ID and incorporate as sold requirements to customers on the P&IDs w.r.t to proposal engineering.
• Ensure correctness per project specification including tagging requirements.
• Ensure correctness, verify and cross check process projection calculations. Ex membrane tank sizing, blower capacity and sizing, air for mixing requirements
• Able to cross check process sizing at an equipment level.
• Provide solutions for process optimization on hydraulic flow, pressurized flow, heat & mass balancing, control logic.
• Inside out knowledge and understanding of key Veolia products & technologies and application engineering on process solutions
• Able to develop hydraulic flow diagram and perform sanity check independently
• Understand application engineering of Suez products & technologies on upstream and downstream processes.
• Optimize and ensure correctness of process sizing at unit level (including equipment level).
• Offer cost effective process solutions independently or in collaboration of process experts.
• Negotiate with customer or customer consultant on process optimization.
• Sign off on process design review punch points as applicable.
• Ability to participate and contribute on HAZOP reviews with customer or customer consultants and clearly resolve queries at a nodal level.
• Review & provide holistic comments on control philosophy document

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical / Environmental Engineering or other technical discipline

Experience Required (Min – Max year): 9-13 years’ Experience in Water or Waste Water treatment related Industry.
