Job summary

Malhotra Book Depot is seeking a DTP designer in Odisha to handle page layouts and book design. You will work on InDesign, PageMaker, CorelDRAW, and Photoshop, creating templates and printer-ready PDFs while ensuring accurate Odia and English typing and adherence to proofreading marks.

Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure are essential, along with proficient computer skills and Odia-language experience.

Qualifications

• Should be well-versed in DTP Software such as InDesign, PageMaker, CorelDRAW, Photoshop.
• Excellent in English Typing and Odia Typing.
• Knowledge of Typesetting and design/layout for books.
• Able to create design templates including page size, text areas, styles, and printer-ready PDFs.
• Familiar with proofreading marks.
• Excellent computer skills are required.
• Creative with a keen eye for good design and detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Must have experience with the Odia language.

• 1. Should be well-versed in DTP Softwares like InDesign, Page Maker, Coral Draw, Photoshop, etc.


• 2. Should be excellent in English Typing & Odia Typing.


• 3. Knowledge of Typesetting i.e. Design and Layout making of Books.


• 4. Able to create design template which includes defining of page size and text area, creation of Paragraph & Character styles, creation of printer ready PDFs and checking, etc,


• 5. Well versed with the Proof reading marks.


• 6. Must possess excellent computer skills


• 7. Be Creative with an eye for good design and detail.


• 8. Should work under pressure.


• 9. Must have experience in Odia Language.
