Job summary

Siemens in Chennai is seeking a Project Manager Internal - Project Support Professional for Data Centers. You will assist in planning, scheduling, procurement, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to keep projects on track.

This role requires a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in project support, with strong skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project. You will work with multinational teams and manage documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in preparing and updating project plans and monitoring progress.
• Prepare purchase orders for project equipment and ensure approvals.
• Expedite orders and track production and delivery with vendors and logistics.
• Prepare shipping instructions and coordinate with Logistics for timely delivery.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineers, and project teams on tasks.
• Support data entry and maintain project documentation and reports.

We are looking for: Project Manager Internal - Project Support Professional- Data Centers

You’ll Make An Impact By

• Assists Project Manager(s) in preparing and keeping project (procurement/logistics) plans up-to-date, monitors progress, and escalates any delays or risks.
• Prepares purchase orders for project equipment according to the plan, ensuring all necessary approvals and signatures are obtained in a compliant way.
• Expedites purchase orders. Maintains and tracks the production and delivery of equipment, including communicating with vendors, factory planners, logistics, site and customer when required.
• Prepares shipping instructions and coordinates with the Logistics team to ensure timely delivery of equipment to site or storage.
• Collaborates with Planning, Engineers, Logistics, and other project group members on the content and execution of assigned tasks.
• Supports with data entry updating project relevant information in internal tools.
• Drafts and supports the creation of accurate project documentation, including regular customer progress reports, project kick-off and handover documentation, etc.

• BTech/ degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in creating plan, scheduling, monitoring and supporting project Driven to deliver quality results.
• Skilled in project management practices and software (Excel, PowerPoint, MSFT Project)
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with multinationals
• Analytical and eye for process improvement
• Ability to work under pressure with exceptional time management skill.
