Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited in Chennai seeks a Project Manager Internal - Project Planner and Scheduler. You will translate project scope into detailed schedules, coordinate resources, and maintain plans across execution phases.

The role requires 5+ years in planning/coordinating data center or construction projects, proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Planview, advanced Excel, and strong cross-functional communication. Chennai-based, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BTech/degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in planning, scheduling, monitoring and project planning in data center or construction.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Planview.
• Primavera P6 certification preferred.
• Advanced Excel; Power BI a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers to translate scope into a Schedule with resourcing plan.
• Create project schedules outlining milestones, tasks, timelines, and critical path.
• Collaborate with functions to forecast resources for each project.
• Develop project scenarios and mitigate risks.
• Maintain schedules during execution phases and ensure timely updates.
• Monitor schedules, S-curves and histograms for progress reviews.
• Develop and improve planning processes, tools and approaches.

We are looking for: Project Manager Internal - Project Planner and Scheduler

You’ll make an impact by:

• Supporting project managers to plan projects during the execution phase by translating the scope and converting it into a Schedule with the needed resourcing plan
• Create project schedules that outline milestones, tasks, timelines, critical path and resources for all projects
• Collaborate with relevant functions to accurately forecast the resources needed for each project
• Create project scenarios, Identify and communicate potential risks and support the development of mitigation strategies
• Continuously support Project Managers / Support teams to help them maintain project schedules throughout the execution phase
• Maintained structured documentation and progress tracking to support smooth execution in a fast‑changing, high‑pressure environment.
• Responsible for monitoring schedules, S-curves & histogram, which helps facilitate Management and project management team to review and track progress to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and within established timelines
• Develop and continuously improve planning processes, approaches, and tools.

• BTech/ degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in creating plan, scheduling, monitoring and supporting project planning within Data center, offshore/ construction environment.
• Advanced proficiency with planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Planview,).
• Certification in Primavera P6 Project Management (preferred)
• Advanced excel skills.
• Power BI skills is a plus
• Knowledge of planning methodologies, project management and sales processes.
• Basic understanding of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction work processes.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
