Job summary

Siemens in Chennai, India, seeks an experienced Project Manager Internal - Project Planner and Scheduler to translate project scopes into schedules with the right resources. You’ll create milestones, timelines and critical paths, forecast manpower, and monitor S-curves for on-time execution.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, improve planning processes and deliver structured documentation. Requires 5+ years in data center or offshore/construction project planning, strong Excel and Primavera

Qualifications

• B.Tech/BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, scheduling, monitoring and supporting project planning in data center or offshore/construction environments.
• Advanced proficiency with planning software Primavera P6, MS Project, and Planview.
• Certification in Primavera P6 Project Management (preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI is a plus.
• Knowledge of planning methodologies, project management and sales processes.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate project scope into a detailed schedule with resources.
• Create schedules with milestones, timelines, critical path and resources.
• Forecast resources across projects through collaboration with functions.
• Develop scenarios, identify risks and support mitigation strategies.
• Support PMs to maintain schedules during execution.
• Maintain documentation and progress tracking for on-time delivery.
• Monitor schedules, S-curves and histograms for progress reviews.
• Develop and improve planning processes, approaches, and tools.

We are looking for: Project Manager Internal - Project Planner and Scheduler

• Supporting project managers to plan projects during the execution phase by translating the scope and converting it into a Schedule with the needed resourcing plan
• Create project schedules that outline milestones, tasks, timelines, critical path and resources for all projects
• Collaborate with relevant functions to accurately forecast the resources needed for each project
• Create project scenarios, Identify and communicate potential risks and support the development of mitigation strategies
• Continuously support Project Managers / Support teams to help them maintain project schedules throughout the execution phase
• Maintained structured documentation and progress tracking to support smooth execution in a fast‑changing, high‑pressure environment.
• Responsible for monitoring schedules, S-curves & histogram, which helps facilitate Management and project management team to review and track progress to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and within established timelines
• Develop and continuously improve planning processes, approaches, and tools.

• BTech/ degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in creating plan, scheduling, monitoring and supporting project planning within Data center, offshore/ construction environment.
• Advanced proficiency with planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Planview,).
• Certification in Primavera P6 Project Management (preferred)
• Advanced excel skills.
• Power BI skills is a plus
• Knowledge of planning methodologies, project management and sales processes.
• Basic understanding of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction work processes.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
