Purpose
- The Project Subcontracts Engineer manages and coordinates subcontractor relationships, ensuring the successful execution of project subcontracts within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- You are the key point of contact, facilitating clear communication between project teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- You support the tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and awarding of subcontracts, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- You ensure all contract documentation, approvals, and records are accurately maintained.
- You support risk management by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential subcontract‑related risks.
- You contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to subcontracting processes and strategies.
- You provide regular updates and reports to project management on subcontractor performance and progress.
Education
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in subcontract management within the Oil & Gas industry, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient understanding and knowledge of subcontracting principles, contract law, and industry practices.
- Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) is preferred.
