Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced Workday Project Manager with 8–10 years of expertise in administering and optimizing Workday HCM and Financial Management platforms. The role focuses on ensuring availability, security, performance, and operational stability of Workday environments to support core HR and Finance processes.

You will lead end-to-end project initiatives across multiple sites (Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru & Chennai), coordinating with HR, Finance, PMO, and business

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience with Workday HCM and Financial Management.
• Experience administering, supporting, and optimizing enterprise platforms.
• Full-time employment for a project management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Workday project initiatives and upgrades.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets.
• Establish governance, reporting, risks, and issue management processes.
• Coordinate activities across HR, finance, infrastructure, security, and applications teams.
• Manage deployment, testing (SIT/UAT) and cutover activities.
• Coordinate migration across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
• Oversee retrofitting, customization analyses, and impact assessments.

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Workday Project manager with 8 to 10 years of experience in administering, supporting, and optimizing enterprise Workday HCM and Financial Management platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and operational stability of Workday environments while supporting business-critical HR and Finance processes.

What You'll Do:

• Lead end-to-end PeopleSoft PUM and PeopleTools upgrade initiatives.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
• Establish project governance, reporting mechanisms, risk logs, and issue management processes.
• Coordinate project activities across business, HR, finance, infrastructure, security, and application teams. Manage PeopleTools upgrades, system testing, deployment, and cutover activities.
• Coordinate migration activities across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
• Oversee retrofitting, customization analysis, and impact assessments.
• Ensure successful application of PeopleSoft Image updates and selective adoption processes.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Facilitate workshops and steering committee meetings.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation actions to leadership.
• Coordinate with PeopleSoft functional and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Manage system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production readiness.
• Coordinate deployment and post-production support activities.
• Ensure compliance with change management and release management processes.
• Work closely with HR, Finance, PMO, and business leadership teams.
• Facilitate decision-making sessions and obtain required approvals.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and financial targets.
