Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development or technology delivery environments.
• 4+ years as Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Agile delivery leader for cross-functional teams.
• Experience planning and delivering scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and reporting with Scrum ceremonies.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

As a Project Manager at Ascentt, you will lead the Agile delivery of one cross-functional Scrum team building technology and AI-driven solutions for enterprise clients.

This is a hands-on Agile leadership role. The delivery environment entail enterprise-scale programs, cross-team dependencies, and direct engagement with client stakeholders. The seniority of this role lies in the judgment it requires, knowing when to coach, when to facilitate, when to challenge, and when to escape.

This is an office-based position at Ascentt's Indore or Pune location. Regular presence in the office is required.

Because Ascentt works with global enterprise clients, the Senior Scrum Master will need the flexibility to overlap with U.S. client working hours as needed for Agile ceremonies, stakeholder discussions, planning sessions, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, also serving as Scrum Master for the delivery team
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans; track progress, dependencies, and critical path

AI-Enabled Project Management

• Leverage AI tools to streamline project tracking, generate status summaries, and surface risks or delays earlier
• Use AI-assisted reporting to improve turnaround and consistency of status updates to leadership
• Drive adoption of AI-driven PM tools and practices as part of continuous process improvement

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

• Coordinate internal technical teams, business teams, and third-party vendors
• Facilitate communication between engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with business objectives

Risk, Issue & Requirements Management

• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, changes, and escalations
• Identify potential roadblocks and drive timely resolution
• Ensure technical requirements are clearly defined, documented, and understood by development teams

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor project performance, schedules, budgets, and key delivery metrics
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to leadership and stakeholders

Agile Delivery (Scrum Master)

• Serve as Scrum Master for one cross-functional Agile delivery team, leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives)
• Ensure ceremonies produce clear decisions, commitments, and actions — and that the team establishes and stays focused on clear sprint goals.
• Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy, prioritized, appropriately refined backlog.
• Surface unclear requirements, unresolved questions, dependencies, and readiness gaps before work enters a sprint.
• Use Agile metrics (predictability, carryover, cycle time, throughput) to to identify trends and drive team improvement.
• Coach the team on Agile principles, accountability, and effective performance of their roles.

Process Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and delivery methodologies

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience in software development or technology delivery environments, including experience managing technical projects end-to-end.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Agile delivery leader for cross-functional software or technology teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading project planning and delivery — scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder reporting — alongside facilitating the full set of Scrum ceremonies and applying Agile principles in real-world delivery environments.
• Strong track record identifying and driving resolution of impediments, delivery risks, dependencies, and cross-team escalations.
• Working knowledge of Agile delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) and traditional project metrics (schedule, budget, milestones), and how to apply both to improve predictability and delivery outcomes.
• Experience leveraging AI tools for project tracking, status reporting, or risk surfacing, with an interest in driving continued adoption of AI-driven PM practices.
• Proficiency with Jira or comparable Agile/project work-management tools.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and business stakeholders and present to leadership.
• Experience in distributed or global delivery environments, with flexibility to overlap with U.S. client hours as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or comparable Agile certification.
• Experience with enterprise clients in a consulting environment.
• Exposure to AI, Generative AI, data, cloud, or other emerging technology delivery environments.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or related industries.
