Job summary

Partex.AI in Pune, India seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex AI, data, and digital projects from initiation to deployment. You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Project Management or related role.
• Experience managing AI/ML projects with multiple stakeholders is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly structured Project Manager to lead complex technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), data, and digital projects from Pune, India. The role sits at the intersection of technology, AI, product, data, and business and requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and end-to-end delivery ownership.

The successful candidate will work with AI/ML engineers, software engineers, data scientists, product managers, business stakeholders, customers, and external partners in a fast-paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI, technology, data, and digital projects from initiation through execution, deployment, and closure.
• Translate business and technical requirements into project objectives, scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource plans, budgets, RAID logs, and governance mechanisms.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across AI/ML, engineering, data, product, business, and operations.
• Drive execution using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, hybrid, or other appropriate methodologies.
• Establish project governance, status reporting, steering updates, decision logs, and escalation mechanisms.
• Track scope, schedule, quality, resources, and budget; identify deviations early and drive corrective actions.
• Manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Work with Product and Engineering leadership to prioritize deliverables, manage trade-offs, and resolve execution bottlenecks.
• Coordinate AI/ML activities including data readiness, model development, experimentation, validation, integration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Coordinate technology initiatives involving software platforms, data products, AI/ML solutions, APIs, cloud infrastructure, analytics, and enterprise systems.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, including customers, strategic partners, and vendors.
• Maintain high-quality project documentation, decisions, requirements, actions, and delivery artifacts.
• Create executive-level updates covering progress, achievements, risks, decisions required, and next steps.
• Continuously improve project management practices, templates, governance, and reporting standards.

AI & Technology Project Management Scope

• Practical understanding of AI/ML development lifecycles and dependencies between data, models, engineering, infrastructure, testing, and deployment.
• Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, data platforms, analytics, or related AI technologies.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles including requirements, architecture dependencies, development, QA, release, and production deployment.
• Understanding of cloud-based technology environments and collaboration with engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Ability to understand technical discussions and translate them into plans, priorities, risks, and decisions without needing to be the primary technical implementer.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Build strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings, workshops, requirement discussions, reviews, and governance forums with clear outcomes.
• Manage expectations across multiple stakeholders and drive resolution of conflicts or delivery risks.
• Communicate project status clearly and transparently to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work effectively in international, multicultural, and distributed-team environments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in Project Management, Program Management, Technology Delivery, Product Operations, or a closely related role.
• Demonstrated experience managing technology and/or AI/ML projects with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of software/technology project lifecycles and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience managing technically complex projects with multiple dependencies and changing priorities.
• Strong planning, execution, risk management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership interaction.
• Experience with international or distributed teams is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Monday.com, Asana, or equivalent.

Preferred Background

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Education from a well-regarded university or institute is preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Experience in AI, SaaS, enterprise technology, consulting, digital transformation, data platforms, or technology product environments is highly desirable.
• Experience managing enterprise customers, strategic partners, or complex external stakeholders is an advantage.
