Job summary

NIIT is seeking a seasoned Project Manager – Technical in Gurugram to lead the successful delivery of complex technology programs. You will coordinate engineering teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure projects stay on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.

The ideal candidate brings strong SDLC knowledge, hands-on Agile/DevOps experience, and a proven record of delivering medium to large-scale tech initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of experience required
• Proven track record delivering medium to large-scale technology projects
• Solid understanding of SDLC and delivery frameworks
• Hands-on with Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid project management methodologies
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar tools
• Solid technical background (programming, system design, or architecture)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern DevOps practices

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple technical projects from initiation through deployment and support
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to refine requirements
• Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and ensure adherence to schedules
• Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions meeting business and technical requirements
• Drive Agile/Scrum or hybrid methodologies and ensure ceremonies are effective
• Manage cross-functional teams including developers, QA, DevOps, and vendors
• Facilitate clear communication across teams and stakeholders with regular status reporting
• Monitor performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvement
• Oversee change management and manage scope changes effectively
• Provide technical oversight and contribute to architecture discussions
• Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and governance standards

• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to gather and refine requirements
• Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and ensure adherence to schedules
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business and technical requirements
• Drive Agile/Scrum or hybrid methodologies and ensure effective execution of ceremonies
• Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, DevOps, and external vendors
• Facilitate clear communication across teams and stakeholders, including regular status reporting
• Monitor project performance using KPIs and metrics, and drive continuous improvement
• Oversee change management processes and handle scope changes effectively
• Provide technical oversight and support architectural or design discussions when needed
• Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and governance standards are maintained

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus
• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or similar certifications are highly desirable

Experience

• 7 to 9 years is required
• Proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large-scale technology projects
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and delivery frameworks
• Hands‑on experience with Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid project management methodologies
