Job summary

Vertiv in Mumbai seeks a Project Site Engineer to lead on-site deployment at client projects, manage end-to-end execution, and coordinate with data centre teams for timely delivery.

You will apply CFD and FEA analyses, interpret results, and propose structural or thermal modifications while preparing client-facing reports and presentations.

Candidates need a Mechanical Engineering degree, 3+ years in CFD, 2+ years in FEA, and proficiency with ANSYS and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with focus on mechanics and vibrations.
• 3+ years CFD analysis experience (steady/transient, laminar/turbulent).
• 2+ years FEA analysis experience (static/dynamic).
• Experience with data centre cabinets/environmental conditions is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CAD/FEA tools such as ANSYS and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD/FEA analyses for on-site deployment projects and data centre work.
• Interpret results and propose structural/thermal modifications for base designs.
• Prepare client-facing FEA/CFD reports, risk assessments, and validation presentations.

Project Site Engineer role involving initial on-site deployment at client Project, managing end-to-end execution, with Mumbai as the base location.

Role & Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s or Master's level coursework in Solid Mechanics, FEM, Strength of Materials, and Mechanical Vibration.
• Sound knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Fluid Mechanics, CFD, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics
• Minimum 3 years of CFD analysis experience covering Steady/Transient and Laminar/Turbulence flows.
• Minimum 2 years of FEA analysis experience focusing on Static Structural and Dynamic simulations.
• Experience in external and internal Data Centre CFD simulation and knowledge of Data Centre operations (highly desirable).
• Proficiency in CFD analysis software including Cadence (Celsius EC & Reality DC), Flownex, and ANSYS Fluent.
• Proficiency in FEA analysis software including ANSYS and SolidWorks.
• Expertise in defining assembly connections and integration, including welds, bolts, and contact interactions.
• Specialized knowledge in Linear, Non-Linear, Vibration, and Seismic Analysis using ANSYS.
• Interpret simulation results for base designs and suggest structural or thermal modifications.
• Prepare and deliver client-facing FEA/CFD engineering reports, risk assessments, and design validation presentations.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree engineering required.Mechanical engineering/ Thermal Engineering is preferred.
• Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design and project management.
• Experience with Data Center cabinets and environmental.
• Ability to design components and assemblies using 3D CAD system SolidWorks or similar.
• Knowledge of CAD Simulation Analysis tools such as FEA and CFD.
