Job summary

Amor Management Consultants is seeking an experienced Supply Management professional to lead localization, cost optimization, supplier development, and new product sourcing. Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or related engineering discipline.
• 12–15 years of experience in project management, strategic sourcing, localization, supplier development, cost optimization, or supply management.
• Experience in automotive, industrial equipment, or capital goods manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive localization and import substitution to increase local sourcing.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives through VA/VE, alternate sourcing, and supplier negotiations.
• Manage supplier development and qualification activities with new supplier onboarding.
• Support NPI by ensuring suppliers meet project timelines.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to execute sourcing projects.
• Monitor milestones, supplier readiness, risks, and progress.
• Work with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, cost, and capability.
• Use SAP/ERP systems to track project status and procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and governance.

This is a cross‑functional role that works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Suppliers to improve cost competitiveness, strengthen the supply base, and ensure successful execution of new projects.

Role & responsibilities

• Drive localization and import substitution projects to increase local sourcing.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives through VA/VE, alternate sourcing, and supplier negotiations.
• Manage supplier development and qualification activities, including identifying and developing new suppliers.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring suppliers are ready to meet project timelines.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to execute sourcing and supply management projects.
• Monitor project milestones, supplier readiness, risks, and implementation progress.
• Work with suppliers to improve quality, delivery performance, cost, and overall capability.
• Use SAP/ERP systems to track project status, procurement activities, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and governance requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Around 12-15 years of experience in Project Management, Strategic Sourcing, Localization, Supplier Development, Cost Optimization, or Supply Management.
• Experience in Engineering, Machine Building, Automotive, Industrial Equipment, or Capital Goods manufacturing is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience in Localization, VA/VE, Cost Down initiatives, NPI sourcing, Supplier Development, and Cross‑functional Project Management.
• Good understanding of SAP/ERP systems and manufacturing processes.
