Job summary

Medsynaptic is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead RIS/PACS implementations across hospitals and diagnostic centers. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, risks, and change requests, and ensure governance and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5–6 years of Healthcare IT project experience, strong radiology workflow knowledge, and proficiency with DICOM/HL7/FHIR interoperability.

Qualifications

  • 5–6 years of experience managing Healthcare IT, RIS/PACS, or Clinical Informatics projects.
  • Experience with RIS, PACS, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), and Medical Imaging solutions.
  • Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, FHIR and interoperability standards.
  • Experience integrating HIS/EMR/EHR platforms.
  • Strong radiology workflow understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end RIS/PACS implementation and integration projects across hospitals and diagnostic centers.
  • Prepare project plans, scope documents, timelines, resource allocation, and implementation schedules.
  • Coordinate with radiologists, hospital IT teams, clinical stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage project milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings, status reviews, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live activities.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance, quality standards, and client-specific workflows.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting timelines or deliverables.
  • Coordinate system integration activities involving RIS, PACS, EMR/HIS, modalities, and third-party applications.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and provide regular project status reports.
  • Support post-implementation stabilization, training, and transition to support teams.

We are seeking an experienced ( 5 to 6 years ) and highly motivated Project Manager to lead the implementation, deployment, and support of RIS, PACS and related Healthcare IT solutions.

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile
  • PMP Certification (desireable)
  • Minimum 45 years of experience managing Healthcare IT, RIS/PACS, or Clinical Informatics projects.
  • Strong understanding of Radiology workflows.
  • Experience in RIS, PACS, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), and Medical Imaging solutions.
  • Working knowledge of DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Experience managing integrations with HIS/EMR/EHR platforms.
  • Understanding of radiology workflows.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exposure to enterprise imaging, teleradiology, cloud PACS, and AI-based radiology solutions is an added advantage.
  • Exposure and knowledge about Servers, Networking, Databases etc
