Job summary

Thriam Toolroom & Plastics in Maharashtra, India, seeks a Project Manager and Plant Head to drive operational excellence, scale production, and uphold quality across injection molding and toolroom operations.

The role requires strong leadership, P&L oversight, and hands-on experience with ISO/IATF standards, toolroom management, and vendor negotiations to align with Tier-1 automotive or electrical OEMs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in senior operational leadership roles in plastics/manufacturing.
• BE/BTech Mechanical or CIPET/TRTC/NTTF Tool Design qualification.
• Deep technical grasp of plastic resins and mold design fundamentals.
• Experience in vendor negotiations, workforce management, cost optimization, and customer audits for Tier-1 automotive/electrical OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Plant Operations & P&L Oversight: Lead end-to-end plant operations, production planning, machine utilization, and capacity expansion to achieve daily and monthly dispatch targets.
• Toolroom & Mold Engineering Management: Oversee in-house toolroom operations, mold development schedules, maintenance, and T1 sample approvals.
• Manufacturing Process Optimization: Drive cycle-time reduction, scrap minimization, and OEE in Toolroom.
• Quality & Metrology Leadership: Ensure ISO/IATF standards compliance and 100% inspection protocol adherence.
• Team Leadership & Safety: Lead, mentor, and build engineering, production, and quality teams while enforcing 5S, Lean, and safety standards on the shop floor.

About the Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Project Manager and Plant Head to drive operational excellence, production scale, and quality standards across our injection molding, compression molding (Bakelite/DMC/SMC), and in-house precision toolroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant Operations & P&L Oversight: Lead end-to-end plant operations, production planning, machine utilization, and capacity expansion to achieve daily and monthly dispatch targets.
• Toolroom & Mold Engineering Management: Oversee in-house toolroom operations , mold development schedules, maintenance, and T1 sample approvals.
• Manufacturing Process Optimization: Drive cycle-time reduction, scrap minimization,and (OEE) in Toolroom
• Quality & Metrology Leadership: Ensure strict adherence to ISO/IATF standards, and 100% compliance with inspection protocols.

Target Candidate Profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Polymer Engineering, or CIPET / TRTC / NTTF Tool Design Diplomas.
• 7+ years in plastic commercial toolroom facility.
• Deep technical grasp of plastic resins & mold design fundamentals
• Track record in vendor negotiations, workforce management, cost optimization, and customer audit handling for Tier-1 automotive or electrical OEMs.
