Job summary

SAI Hr Consultants is seeking a Plant Head to lead end-to-end operations for Plastic Injection Molding and In-Mold Labeling (IML) robotics. The role requires strong experience in high-volume plastic manufacturing, automation and production planning, with emphasis on quality, maintenance, and cost management.

The candidate will drive plant productivity, OEE improvement, and a high-performance manufacturing culture while ensuring on-time delivery and safety across the plant.

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of experience in plastic manufacturing or related fields.
• 5+ years in a Plant Head / Senior Operations leadership role.
• Strong background in Injection Molding and IML robotic automation.
• Experience with high-volume plastic packaging products is preferred.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical / Polymer / Production / Plastics Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end plant operations for Injection Molding, IML, automation, maintenance, quality and production planning.
• Drive TPM, Lean, Kaizen, 5S, SMED and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop production plans to meet customer delivery schedules and optimize cycle time.
• Monitor KPIs: OEE, uptime, rejection, scrap, and cost per unit.
• Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and HR for cross-functional alignment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, EHS and environmental requirements.
• Lead manpower planning, skill development and succession planning.

Job Summary

We are Hiring for Plant Head to lead end-to-end plant operations for its Plastic Injection Molding and In-Mold Labeling (IML) robotic manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in high-volume plastic manufacturing, automation, robotics, production planning, quality, maintenance, cost management and people leadership.

The role will be responsible for driving plant productivity, operational excellence, OEE improvement, quality, safety, cost optimization and on-time delivery, while building a high-performance manufacturing culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant operations covering Injection Molding, IML, Automation, Maintenance, Quality, Production Planning, Stores and Utilities.
• Manage high-speed plastic injection molding machines, IML systems, robots and automated material-handling systems.
• Drive production efficiency, machine utilization and OEE improvement.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Optimize cycle time, machine loading, manpower productivity, rejection, scrap and changeover time.
• Ensure effective preventive and predictive maintenance of injection molding machines, robots, IML equipment, molds, utilities and auxiliary equipment.
• Drive TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, SMED and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure stringent quality standards for rigid plastic containers and packaging products.
• Work closely with Quality teams to reduce rejection, customer complaints and process variation.
• Control manufacturing costs through productivity improvement, energy optimization, material utilization and reduction of process losses.
• Coordinate with Tool Room/Mold Maintenance teams for mold performance, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, statutory, safety and environmental requirements.
• Develop annual operating budgets and monitor plant performance against agreed KPIs.
• Lead manpower planning, skill development, performance management and succession planning for the plant.
• Build strong cross-functional coordination with Sales, Purchase, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and HR.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement automation and process improvements to increase capacity and profitability.
• Establish and monitor plant KPIs including OEE, productivity, rejection, scrap %, downtime, energy consumption, OTIF and cost per unit.
• Present regular plant performance reviews to senior management.

• Minimum 5+ years in a Plant Head / Factory Head / Senior Operations leadership role preferred.
• Strong background in Injection Molding and IML robotic automation is essential.
• Experience in rigid plastic packaging, containers, closures or similar high-volume plastic products will be highly preferred.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical / Polymer / Production / Plastics Engineering preferred.
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven track record of managing large manufacturing teams and achieving operational KPIs.
• Should be comfortable working in a high-volume, technology-driven manufacturing environment.
