Job summary

RWS Transform in Mumbai is seeking a proactive Localization Project Manager to lead full cycle localization engagements from planning to delivery. You will coordinate global client teams, manage budgets, schedules, and quality, and ensure clear scope and progress communications.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in localization/translation.
• CAT tools and QA tools knowledge (TRADOS or other TMS).
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing full cycle of localization projects from start to finish.
• Create estimates and proposals for client approval.
• Plan projects with risk management and compliance.
• Create project schedules using RWS tools.
• Close financial monitoring and control of projects.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders clearly.
• Adhere to Translation Management Systems and QA tools.
• Identify process improvements and escalate to management.
• Hold regular project meetings and circulate minutes.
• Maintain invoicing tables and ensure timely invoicing.
• Develop and prepare process documents as required.

Job Purpose

To manage all assigned projects in the most efficient manner possible in order to ensure client retention, satisfaction and ultimately repeat revenue growth. Through effective written and verbal communication ensure that project teams are clear to the scope, complexity, and expectations of clients for all projects and that the clients are kept fully informed as to the progress, position, and financial status of their projects.

To manage and motivate the extended project team ensuring actions are clearly delegated and that resource/quality issues are escalated in a timely manner to the departmental managers and Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Job Overview

• Overseeing and executing a full cycle of localization projects from a range of customers from start to finish which typically includes, but not limited to:
• Creation of estimates and proposals for client approval based on a project scope and provided materials
• Project planning and implementing best methodology and processes including risk management and compliance
• Creation of project schedules using RWS tools and systems
• Close financial monitoring and control of projects through available tools and systems
• Effective verbal and written communications with clients, internal and external stakeholders and the wider team members regionally and globally where needed
• Adhering to RWS project process including Translation Management Systems, CAT tools, QA Tools, financial platforms, etc.
• Identification of project/process improvement opportunities and escalating to a manager
• Holding regular project meetings, documenting these and distributing minutes actions to the team
• Maintenance and updating of invoicing tables and ensuring timely and final invoicing
• Development and preparation of process documents where required

Skills & Experience

• 2-3 years of hands‑on experience within the localization or translation industry
• CAT tools and QA tools knowledge (TRADOS or other translation management tools)
• Good written/verbal skills in English for internal and external communication
• Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Words, PowerPoint and etc.)
• Proactive approach
