Job description

As a Pricing Analyst, you will be a key partner to our global Sales teams, with a primary focus on strategic thinking and analytical excellence. Your role is to support the Sales teams on the optimal approach to client proposals, shaping pricing strategies, and ensuring that every recommendation is grounded in robust analysis and long‑term business objectives. You will also support senior team members on complex opportunities, giving you the experience; knowledge and skills to develop your career.

You will be expected to look beyond immediate tasks, proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities that influence our pricing approach. Your insights will directly impact how we position ourselves in the market and drive sustainable growth. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on solving problems, enjoys thinking several steps ahead, and is passionate about using data to support on strategic decisions.

About Sales Operations

The Sales Operations Department provides operational and strategic support to global sales teams and is the critical link between sales and many cross‑functional departments. The team works closely with many departments to ensure all activities are completed with a high degree of accuracy. The team has a reputation for high standards and high‑quality data provision, and this reputation needs to be maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
Job Overview
  • Support Sales, providing guidance on the best ways to progress client proposals and win new business.
  • Support with the analysis and development of pricing strategies that align with broader business goals and market dynamics.
  • Proactively identify and assess market trends, competitor actions, and client needs to inform strategic pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather intelligence and support the creation of compelling, data‑driven proposals.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine pricing models, ensuring they support both immediate and long‑term strategic objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver insightful reports and presentations that influence decision‑making at all levels of the organisation.
  • Drive process improvements and champion innovative approaches to pricing and proposal development.
  • Ability to work across multiple service lines that RWS provide (Language Services; Professional Services and Technology), where unique tasks and metrics exist in each area, which all need to be combined using large data sets to drive a holistic pricing strategy.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, as outlined above.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including experience with complex data analysis and scenario modelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies for Sales and business leaders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with CRM/CPQ systems (i.e., Salesforce) for strategic analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with a high fluency in English, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and functions, with a focus on driving strategic outcomes.
  • Degree‑level education in a relevant field (e.g. Business).
  • Experience with Python or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Primarily working in the NASA time zone, but flexibility to support teams across multiple time zones as needed.
