Job summary

Bureau Veritas India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager - Industry to lead and deliver Third-Party Inspection, Quality Assurance, Expediting, PMC, and industrial inspection projects.

You will ensure completion on time, within budget, and in line with HSE and BV quality standards across multi-location sites. You will coordinate inspectors and subcontractors, manage client relationships, review QA/ITP documents, and support business development with cost estimation and planning.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/DME in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Metallurgical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10-15+ years of relevant project management experience in TPI, QA/QC, EPC, PMC, or industrial sectors.
• Experience handling multi-location projects and client-facing assignments.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems and inspection methodologies.

Purpose of Position

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management and execution of Third-Party Inspection (TPI), Quality Assurance, Expediting, Project Monitoring Consultancy (PMC), and Industrial Inspection projects. The role ensures delivery of assigned projects within approved timelines, cost budgets, quality standards, and HSE requirements while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project schedules, resource plans, inspection plans, and milestone tracking mechanisms.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including inspectors, surveyors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
• Manage project risks, corrective actions, and escalation processes.

Client Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Conduct progress review meetings and provide periodic project updates.
• Resolve client concerns and technical queries promptly.
• Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with clients.

Inspection & Quality Management

• Ensure effective implementation of approved Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and project specifications.
• Coordinate inspection assignments at vendor and site locations.
• Review inspection reports, NCRs, CAPAs, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements.

Resource & Vendor Management

• Plan and allocate surveyors and inspection personnel effectively.
• Monitor performance and utilization of project resources.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, EPC contractors, and subcontractors.
• Review and approve deployment schedules and inspection plans.

Commercial & Financial Control

• Monitor project budget, revenue, and profitability.
• Ensure proper time-sheet management and project cost control.
• Support preparation of billing annexures and verification of man-days.
• Ensure timely submission of invoices and follow-up for payment realization.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports.
• Maintain project records and document control systems.
• Ensure timely closure of technical and commercial documentation.
• Support management reviews and client audits.

Business Development Support

• Identify opportunities for additional services and cross-selling.
• Support proposal preparation, cost estimation, and resource planning.
• Contribute towards business growth and client retention initiatives.

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Knowledge

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/DME in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Metallurgical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

• 10-15+ years of relevant experience in Project Management, TPI, QA/QC, EPC, PMC, Manufacturing, Power, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Railway, Infrastructure, or Industrial Projects.
• Experience in handling multi-location projects and client-facing assignments.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of project management practices.
• Understanding of QA/QC systems and inspection methodologies.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, IS, IEC, AWS, and other applicable standards.
• Knowledge of vendor inspection, manufacturing processes, and project controls.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, ERP, and project tracking tools.
