Job description

The SEG QA Specialist / Manager is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and improving organizational software engineering processes. The role acts as an auditor and process consultant, ensuring that software delivery teams adhere to HCL’s organizational standards, client SLAs, and global quality certifications (such as ISO 9001, CMMI Level 5, and ISO 27001)

Process Definition & Adaptation: Define and maintain software engineering and delivery process frameworks
. Help project teams customize and tailor these organizational processes to fit specific client requirements and agile methodologies
.

Quality Audits & Compliance: Conduct regular process compliance audits across various project teams to identify process deviations, risks, and areas of non-conformance
.

CMMI & ISO Readiness: Lead and prepare project teams for external appraisal cycles, including CMMI Level 5 assessments and ISO 9001/ISO 27001 audits

Key Responsibilities

Metrics & SLA Governance: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics for software delivery
. Track and analyze delivery metrics (e.g., defect density, schedule slippage, SLA compliance) and report findings to senior leadership
.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Facilitate Root Cause Analysis sessions for project delivery failures or critical customer escalations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented
