Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for on-site leadership in Pune, Maharashtra. You will develop and implement detailed execution plans for large interior fitout projects, manage client expectations, and oversee budgets, schedules, and procurement through project closeout.

The role requires 7–8 years in project management of commercial interiors, with budgets over $1 million, and proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, and CAD/BIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• PM experience in interior construction or corporate fitout projects.
• Budgeting and cost control experience for projects over multiple millions of dollars.
• Knowledge of interior construction methods, building systems, and local codes.
• PM certification preferred (PMP) and LEED credential desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project execution plans covering scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk for interior fitout projects (10,000–100,000+ sq ft).
• Serve as primary day-to-day client contact, align project goals with client objectives throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage budgets, track expenditures, approve payments, manage change orders, and forecast costs to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans covering scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management for corporate interior fitout projects ranging from 10,000 to 100,000+ square feet.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, understanding business objectives, managing expectations, and ensuring continuous alignment between project execution and client goals throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop, monitor and manage detailed project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenditures, approving payment applications, managing change orders, and forecasting costs to completion while identifying opportunities for value engineering.
• Create, maintain and monitor detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools, identifying critical path activities, mitigating potential delays, and implementing recovery strategies when necessary.
• Manage the selection and performance of general contractors, specialty consultants, and vendors; negotiate contracts, review bids, and oversee the procurement process for furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Review and coordinate design documentation, provide constructability feedback, ensure code compliance, and oversee quality control processes throughout the construction phase.
• Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage issue resolution to minimize impacts on schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
• Oversee project closeout activities including punch list completion, systems commissioning, documentation handover, warranty management, and transition to facilities management teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7-8 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically managing commercial interior construction or corporate fitout projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $1 million.
• Strong technical understanding of interior construction methodologies, building systems, and local building codes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional credential desirable.
• Knowledge of workplace design trends and corporate real estate strategies.
