Job summary

Zoho Chennai invites an experienced Project Manager to lead building construction projects from planning through execution. You will drive schedules, budgets, procurement, and contractor management while ensuring safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 7–15+ years in construction, a civil engineering or construction management degree, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Building Construction (15+ years preferred).
• Proven experience managing end-to-end construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, procurement, budgeting, and contract management.
• Familiarity with local building regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Good English speaking and listening skills are mandatory.
• Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, and procurement strategies.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within specifications.
• Evaluate, select, and manage contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications, experience, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local building codes, and statutory requirements.
• Manage all project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, RFIs, change orders, and project records.
• Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Prepare and present project updates covering milestones, budgets, risks, and overall project performance.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
