Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end MEP projects with a strong focus on Data Centres across India. The role requires a minimum of 10 years in mechanical/building services, with at least 5 years in Data Centre projects and hands-on management of project teams and vendors.

Diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services is required. PMP is an added advantage; travel to sites across India is expected, with camping at sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years total experience in mechanical/building services.
• PMP certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Data Centre projects.
• Experience with Liquid Cooled Data Centres is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead and manage project teams and labor contractors.
• Monitor costs and schedules using tracking tools (cost & schedule).
• Apply Earned Value Management (CPI, SPI, BAC, EAC, ETC, VAC).
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain relationships with customers and consultants.
• Ensure HVAC and MEP quality compliance.
• Drive process improvements and project documentation and closure.

Job description

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects within scope, time, and budget. The role requires leadership, financial control, technical expertise, and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead and manage project teams and labor contractors.
• Ensure timely vendor/contractor invoice bookings.
• Monitor project performance using cost and schedule tracking tools.
• Apply Earned Value Management (CPI, SPI, BAC, EAC, ETC, VAC).
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain strong customer and consultant relationships.
• Ensure quality compliance with HVAC and MEP standards.
• Drive process improvements and proactive problem-solving.
• Ensure proper project documentation and closure.

Technical & Functional Requirements

• Hands-on experience in MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Data Centre projects.
• Experience in Liquid Cooled Data Centres (added advantage).
• Construction experience of 5+ years (mandatory).
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with building codes and energy efficiency standards.

Work Environment

• Field-based role with frequent site visits across India.
