Role

We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Project Manager to join our leadership team in Goa. You will manage and direct project management activities, act as liaison between client, stakeholders, engineers, contractors, third-party construction managers and other consultants during the execution phase of a project. This position will also be responsible for the coordination during the execution phase and close out of projects. This position may have little-to-full responsibility for projects in entitlement, design, and pre construction.

Who should apply?

The Project Manager will be responsible for independently executing solar PV projects of upto 15-20 mW while maintaining budget and schedule. The candidate must deliver positive results and assume accountability for delivering projects on an approved schedule and on budget to maintain value and protect profitability. Hold a solid time management system and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, & budgets and lead the planning and execution of solar energy projects of residential, commercial and C&I (both ground mounted, shed mounted and rooftop projects) from conception to completion.
• Manage Resources/ vendors on site (India).
• Maintain top quality customer service with clients and all stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Manage daily and weekly calls with contractors to discuss project progress. Collaborate with internal and external teams, including engineering, procurement, finance and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery. Liaise with external stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, and government regulatory bodies, to facilitate effective communication and project progress.
• Procurement: Manage the Procurement process with the procurement manager on vendor selection, and contract negotiations. Evaluate project bids and make informed recommendations based on technical and financial considerations.
• Utility and City Permitting: Navigate and facilitate the utility interconnection process, ensuring compliance with utility requirements. Manage city permitting processes, working closely with local authorities to secure necessary approvals.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments to monitor project performance.
• Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and mitigating risks. Implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate and manage them effectively. Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Evaluate installer’s progress reports with an eye toward managing project risks. Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical specifications and provide regular progress reports to leadership and external stakeholders.

Job Specifications

• Technical Skills: Zoho Suite (CRM & Sales Analytics) is mandatory, Calendar Management, MS Office/Google Suite.
• Soft Skills: Communication (English, Hindi preferred), Documentation & Presentation, Strategy Building, Teamwork, Organization & Analysis, Time Management & Multitasking, Learning & Articulation, Customer Service, Attention to Detail.
• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field. PMP is a plus.
• Proven experience in project management within the solar energy industry. Strong understanding of solar technologies, project development, construction processes, utility interconnection, and city permitting.

3. 90-day target: Develop and present project proposals to clients; Implement strategies to mitigate project risks and ensure project quality standards are met; Implement quality control and safety protocols measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure installations meet industry standards and client specifications.
