The Role

The Project Manager is responsible for independently leading the delivery of digital projects across Cloud, Data & AI, or Business Application practices within a professional service environment. The role works directly with customers, project teams and internal stakeholders to manage delivery activities, maintain project governance, control scope, schedule, cost and quality, and deliver positive customer outcomes aligned to Brennan’s delivery frameworks.

The Project Manager owns project planning, coordination, reporting and stakeholder communication, acting as the day-to-day delivery owner for assigned projects. The role is accountable for identifying, managing and resolving risks, issues and delivery challenges, escalating appropriately where decisions, support or intervention are required to keep projects on track.

The Project Manager contributes to continuous improvement by applying Brennan’s project management standards, using approved tools effectively, and demonstrating strong project delivery, customer communication, commercial awareness and delivery discipline.

Role Responsibilities

Project Delivery Coordination, Control & Support:

  • Independently lead the delivery of assigned professional services projects, typically lower to moderate complexity engagements, working directly with customers, project teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure scope, schedule, budget, quality and customer expectations are understood, managed and tracked.
  • Maintain project plans, registers, status reports, meeting minutes and action logs in line with Brennan’s project governance standards.
  • Identify, document and track risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and decisions (RAIDD), escalating concerns to the Portfolio Manager or relevant governance forum as required.
  • Drive mitigation and follow-up activities by coordinating actions, owners and due dates.
  • Manage change control processes by documenting change requests, impacts, approvals and related communication.
  • Coordinate impact assessment inputs for cost, schedule, scope, risk and resourcing, escalating material impacts for review and approval.
  • Coordinate activities across project team members, helping ensure actions are visible and aligned to upcoming milestones.
  • Identify potential resource constraints and elevate early for support and direction.
  • Lead project team cadence through clear administration, meeting coordination, follow-up and timely communication.
  • Escalate delivery issues promptly through agreed governance and escalation pathways.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project information within the PPM tool and associated systems.
Financial & Commercial Management
  • Manage project financial administration, including budget tracking, forecast updates, timesheet follow-up and billing milestone visibility.
  • Monitor actuals against forecast and baseline, identifying variances and driving corrective actions with appropriate escalation where required.
  • Drive recovery actions for at-risk projects by tracking agreed actions, owners, due dates and commercial impacts.
  • Ensure billable effort is accurately captured and aligned to client agreements, approved scope and billing milestones.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Lead customer and internal stakeholder communication through clear project updates, meeting notes and action summaries.
  • Facilitate project working groups and customer status meetings, including agendas, minutes, actions and follow-up.
  • Prepare timely project reporting focused on progress, risks, issues, actions and forecast updates.
  • Work directly with customers, project teams and internal stakeholders to resolve day to-day delivery matters and elevate where business decisions or leadership support are required.
  • Own customer-facing project management activities within defined governance and support structures.
Pre-Sales Support And Initiation
  • Lead project initiation activities by confirming scope, assumptions, deliverables, risks, milestones and handover information.
  • Manage transition from sales to delivery by preparing project documentation, organising kick-off activities and confirming initial project administration requirements.
Capability & Continuous Improvement
  • Follow Brennan’s Project Framework, delivery standards and information security policies.
  • Contribute ideas for improving project administration, reporting consistency and delivery practices.
  • Contribute to improved delivery outcomes by applying practical project management experience, sharing lessons learned and supporting consistent use of Brennan’s delivery practices.
KEY COMPETENCIES
Delivery Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, project delivery or professional services delivery roles, with demonstrated ownership of customer-facing projects.
  • Experience delivering digital, cloud, business application or IT professional services projects is required.
  • Experience working in structured project environments with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities and defined governance processes.

  • Experience working with distributed delivery teams is mandatory.
Behavioural Capabilities
  • Organised and reliable project professional with strong attention to detail and follow through.
