Job summary

GJEPC India (The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council) is seeking a seasoned project manager to oversee government innovation programs. The role requires coordinating with incubation centers, startups, vendors, mentors and government stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.

The position emphasizes managing finances, administration, and reporting, alongside implementing robust information and document management systems.

Qualifications

• BE in Computer/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of technology and innovation.
• Fair understanding of emerging technologies.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Experience of working with multiple stakeholders.
• Minimum 7 to 8 years' experience, with at least 3–4 years in startup ecosystem/incubation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform under tight timelines, work in a team, and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan implementation of various government projects including coordination with incubation centers, startups, vendors, mentors and other stakeholders.
• Manage financial, administrative, and reporting activities for the program.
• Guide team and implement the robust information management and document management system.
• Design various associated documents related to the programs.
• Design workflows pertaining to the portal / MIS development.
• Conduct periodic progress reviews of incubators/startups on quarterly/half yearly basis.
• Understand, Design, Oversee and Independently handle execution of various innovation programs along with the team.
• Screen the applications and conduct reviews, identifying suitable reviewers and mentors based on the need of the program.
• Participate in various meetings and liaisoning with various government stakeholders.
• Plan and participate in activities like social media, outreach events etc.
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Head of the Department
