Job Title – Project Manager

Role Summary

Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN) is looking for a Project Manager to drive its startup incubation and entrepreneurship programmes. This role is ideal for someone who understands project management, startups, incubation, entrepreneurship, programme execution and ecosystem building. The Project manager will work closely with founders, mentors, funding partners, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality programme delivery and strong outcomes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business/Management from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
• At least 5 years working with startups, incubators, accelerators, or innovation ecosystems. At least 3 years managing programmes or projects in organisations, startups, incubators or institutional environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, and proficiency in at least one of the following: Malayalam, Tamil, or Hindi.
• Proven ability to write reports, proposals, and programme documentation. Draft and manage agreements, MoUs, and project-related documents.
• Prior experience in fund sourcing, grants, CSR, and institutional partnerships.
• Execution and management of funded projects will be considered an added advantage.
• Good at conducting meetings, reviews, and presentations, and representing TECHIN at various forums.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong interest in startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a mindset to build and grow ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with organisational leadership to drive programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem growth.
• Lead the planning and execution of incubation, acceleration, and entrepreneurship programmes.
• Work closely with startup founders to track progress, address challenges, and support growth.
• Manage multiple programmes and projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, milestones, and outcomes are met.
• Engage and manage mentors, experts, funding partners, investors, academic institutions, industry partners, and government stakeholders.
• Facilitate conferences, demo days, workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings. Design, manage, or coordinate startup-focused training and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Good at business development, fund sourcing, and partnership building.
• Build visibility for TECHIN through ecosystem engagement, outreach activities, and networking.
• The role may require travel based on project and organisational requirements.

Maximum age limit – 45 years

Salary Particulars

• Consolidated salary of ₹60,000 to ₹70,000 per month (depending on skills and competencies).
• The position is on contract for an initial 1-year period with an initial 3-month probation. The contract may be extended based on performance and organisational requirements.
• Candidates available for immediate joining will be given preference.
