Multicolor Steels (India) Pvt Ltd is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead Pre-Engineered Building (PEB), metal roofing, and wall cladding projects in India. The role requires independent planning, scheduling, and on-site execution with direct rooftop inspections.

The candidate must be physically able to climb roofs and travel to project sites as needed. You will own project plans, manage contractor workforces, and coordinate site resources to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety, quality, and adherence to drawings during erection at site.

Multicolor Steels (India) Pvt Ltd is looking for a hands-on, self-driven Project Manager to lead our Pre-Engineered Building (PEB), Metal Roofing, and Wall Cladding projects end-to-end. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can independently generate project plans and schedules, manage on-site execution with minimal supervision, and drive projects from planning through erection to final handover including working directly at site and on rooftops. Critical requirement: candidate must be physically able and willing to climb on roofs for site inspection and supervision, and must be able to execute projects independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take end-to-end ownership of PEB, metal roofing, and wall cladding projects from planning through execution, erection, and handover.
• Independently generate and manage project plans, schedules, and progress charts, operating with minimal supervision.
• Capability for on-site travel and deployment; coordinate with deployable contractors as required.
• Manage contractor arrangement and workforce planning at site.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material requirements to keep site execution on track.
• Lead site erection activities, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Handle customer engagement and act as a key point of contact during project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections, including on rooftops, to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
• Arrange construction equipment required at site.
• Plan and monitor erection schedule, track project progress, and report status to management.
• Identify potential risks or delays on site and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

Core Skills

• Proven experience managing PEB, structural steel, or metal roofing/wall cladding projects end-to-end.
• Strong ability to independently generate and manage project charts, schedules, and reports (MS Project or similar tools).
• Hands-on experience managing on-site labor, contractors, and construction equipment.
• Working knowledge of erection methodology, site safety practices, and quality control for steel structures.

Other Skills

• Good physical fitness

• Willingness to travel extensively and be deployed at project sites.
• Strong communication skills for customer engagement and coordination.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of project outcomes with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Prior experience managing PEB or steel structure erection at site is highly preferred.
